Chinese Fast-Food Knock-Offs

There’s a chicken place in New Brunswick, NJ called Kennedy Fried Chicken. The name on the restaurant is the same typeface as KFC and I have no idea how they never got a cease and desist. In China this is a common thing apparently. We’ve had some great knock-off items featured on the site before, but knock-off restaurants? And so blatant!

Taco Bell… Cake?

What if instead of diarrhea you wanted diabetes? Laura LeClair Kelley created a Taco Bell cake for her son that looks exactly like… well, tacos! It’s pretty stunning and very creative. The shell is snicker-doodle dough with chocolate sprinkles to give the tortilla illusion. Inside is a half a chocolate cake each with toppings that include shredded coconut dyed green for lettuce, diced up Twizzlers for tomatoes, rolled out and julienned orange Starbursts for cheese and the sour cream is made from giant melted marshmallows. Now for a toilet cake for the aftermath.

Taco Bell… Breakfast?

In case you just can’t wait for lunchtime for your diarrhea to set in, Taco Bell is rolling out breakfast items in 10 states across this fat land in what they are calling “FirstMeal”.
So what the hell would Taco Bell have to offer for breakfast? Eggs in a burrito? Yup. Pretty much. Here’s a short list.

  • Johnsonville Sausage and Egg Wrap
  • Grande Skillet Burrito
  • Steak and Egg Burrito
  • Bacon and Egg Burrito
  • Sausage and Egg Burrito
  • Hash Brown
  • Cinnabon Delights
  • Seattle’s Best Coffee
  • Tropicana Orange Juice
  • Iced Coffee Mocha

I can’t imagine any of these being any good whatsoever and I don’t think this will last very long. If anyone encounters any of these breakfast items, be sure to give us a ring and let us know how many days you spent in hospital. Click here for a full review from Yahoo.
